Robert D. Harris (Rob) joined Harris Financial Services as a Financial Advisor with more than 21 years of experience in various aspects of the financial services industry. Rob focuses on building mutually beneficial and long term relationships with individuals and small business owners to help create, secure and maintain their desired life-styles. He is the third generation in the Harris family to serve the financial needs of residents in Fenton and the surrounding areas.

Rob is a native of Michigan, graduating from Fenton High School in 1987 and then attending Michigan State University. There he received both a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors, and subsequently his MBA. He started his career in finance working for MSU as an Introductory Finance TA/Instructor. He left MSU to work as Director of Operations and Finance for Jondco and SCC. That position entailed working with the mortgage broker/banker and the Registered Investment Advisor industries. This led to a position as Director of Strategic Planning for VESTAX Capital Corporation, an independent broker/dealer. In 1998, Rob joined Jackson National Life as a Regional Manager and was quickly promoted to Regional Vice President in the states of Indiana and Kentucky. Rob’s multi-faceted experience in the financial services industry has enabled him to bring a broad-based business and planning approach to consulting with clients.

Included in his list of achievements and awards, he is a former board member of an area chapter of Jaycees, past recipient of a Jaycee of the Year award, and a recipient of the Rotary International Leadership award. Rob and his wife, Jeanie, live in his hometown of Fenton, Michigan and has three daughters named Cassie, Chloe and Clarissa.
